Pumpkinhead III Ashes to Ashes

"He threw their loved ones into a swamp. Now they want revenge... But when a

demon does  their dirty work, it comes at a price."

The third installment of the Pumpkinhead films brings back Ed Harley's ghost (remember lance Henrikson from the first Pumpkinhead film) and also brings us Doug (Pinhead) Bradley....who steals the show in this move. The film itself revolves around a family who seek vengeance upon the towns crooked doctor, who seems to be moonlighting as an organ donor. When the local GP desecrates the corpse of that families dead relative in his attempt to capture a kidney, they learn of Pumpkinhead, a vengeance seeking demon who can be used to right certain wrongs....

of course this is Pumpkinhead we are talking about here....and when raised once more those who summon him fail to recognise the powers and evil in which they are dealing with....and thus the demon basically kills anyone who gets in his way! throughout we see Bradley's ghost, with a form of twisted sense of humour - which makes links to the first story of Pumpkinhead, through flashbacks, which gives the story a bit of history, yet as with many horror sequels in my view it is still a bit of a let down.

Even the Pumpkinhead demon, which is now a computer generated image, doesn't seem to look as daunting and hideous as in previous films....although the death scenes are a hell of a lot better.
